Observations

Parents can contribute to their child's learning and development by adding observations for their child.

A parent witnessing their child achieve a wow moment can add an observation to the system so that the childcare proivder can add it to their child's progress.

Available on the following Devices

Available on the iPhone & Android App.
Available on the iPad & Android Tablet App.
Available on a PC / Laptop / Mac Web Browser.

Key Areas of the Observations section

Parents can leave observations on the system for their child that are approved by the childcare setting.
Each Observation can be an unlimited number of characters in length.
Any Observation added to the system will appear within the child's Progress / Learning Journey section of the system.

After clicking on the observations icon on the home screen you will be taken to the overview page of the observations section (1), all the children you currently have in the setting will be displayed, you can now either add a new observation for your child or view the observations you previously added and are currently pending approval.

To add an observation for your child click on the + icon, you will be taken to a new page where you can add an observation for your child (2).

To view the observations that you have added previously and are currently pending approval by the childcare setting, click on the pending icon to be taken to a new page to view the pending observations (3).

Web PC / Desktop & tablet app (iOS / Android)

The Observations section can be accessed by placing your mouse over the Progress icon at the top of the page and from the drop down list that appears clicking on the Progress / Learning Journal link.

If after arriving at the Observations section you need assistance with using this section, click on the Help Tour link at the top of the page where full step by step instructions on how to use this section will be provided, you can find the Help Tour link at the top of the page in every section of the system.
